Amidst various economic challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on numerous industries, Telin managed to record solid performance in 2020. Telin's operating income reached Rp9.62 trillion, an increase of 28% from Rp7.51 trillion in the previous year which was driven mainly driven by revenue growth in its digital business, voice services, and data network services.
Subsequently, Telin posted 346% profit growth for 2020 to reach to Rp834.44 billion, up from Rp187.03 billion in 2019. This increase, which in line with Telin's 2020 revenue growth, is a record for Telin in its business journey.
Sukardi Silalahi, CEO of Telin said, "Telin achieved this growth due to significant Net Income growth in the digital retail business, data center, enterprise, digital data connectivity, and wholesale international digital business. Telin’s international businesses achievements include among others its Data Center services in Singapore and Hong Kong, digital retail in HK, Taiwan, Malaysia and Timor Leste, as well as data from international digital connectivity which is growing rapidly at this time."
