Jakarta, 26 June 2025 – The initiative, led by Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Komunikasi dan Digital (BPSDM Komdigi), aims to strengthen Indonesia’s digital connectivity through submarine cable systems and address the growing demand for specialized digital talent in the subsea sector.
This collaborative initiative brought together government agencies, industry players, and academic institutions including Telkom University, marking a significant step toward building a robust subsea digital ecosystem in Indonesia.
Representing Telin at the event, Doni Andriansyah, Chief Finance & Risk Management Officer (CFRMO) of Telin, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the development of digital talent, particularly in the submarine cable industry.
“As Indonesia continues its digital transformation, a strong and reliable subsea connectivity infrastructure is crucial to ensure seamless communication between regions and across borders,” Doni stated. He emphasized that bridging the talent gap in the subsea sector is a pressing national priority.
Through this collaboration, the parties will focus on developing technical expertise, certification programs, competency standards, and capacity-building initiatives tailored to subsea technologies. Telin, as a key player in the global connectivity ecosystem, stands ready to contribute its experience and resources to support this mission.
The government’s target of producing 9 million digital talents by 2030 highlights the urgency of such collaborations. Telin believes that this initiative will serve as a vital foundation for both strengthening national connectivity and accelerating Indonesia’s digital future. Telin remains committed to playing an active role in building a resilient, inclusive, and competitive digital ecosystem for Indonesia and beyond.
