Telin and RTI Sign Agreements for a Collaboration in IPLC Services

In a collaborative effort, Telekomunikasi Indonesia International USA, Inc. (Telin USA) and RTI Connectivity Pte. Ltd. (RTI) have signed a series of agreements to enhance international private line circuit services. The Strategic Alliance Agreement will enable both companies to leverage their respective submarine cable routes, offering new routes and optimizing connectivity between Singapore, Japan, Australia, and the USA. As part of the agreement, RTI will offer Telin's International Private Line Circuit (IPLC) to educational institutions in the USA. The first service under this alliance will provide connectivity between Japan and Singapore for a US-based financial company, expected to be operational by March 2021. This collaboration aims to facilitate digital expansion opportunities for partners in the Asia-Pacific and the USA, strengthening Telin's position in the region.

Telin and RTI Sign Agreements for a Collaboration in IPLC Services

California, USA, 11 December 2020 – Telekomunikasi Indonesia International USA, Inc. (“Telin USA”) and RTI Connectivity Pte. Ltd. (“RTI”) collaborated in a form of agreement signing for International Private Line Circuit service. Representing both companies were CEO of Telin USA, Kharisma and CEO of RTI, Russ Matulich who signed three documents as follows, Strategic Alliance Agreement between IGG-SEA US West and JGA Cable Systems, Telin Master Service Agreement with International Private Line Circuit (IPLC) Schedule, and a Service Order Form of Singapore-Guam 10G using IGG-SEAUS West. The event took place in Hermosa Beach CLS, Los Angeles California, where SEA-US cable system land in the USA.

The first agreement, Strategic Alliance Agreement, complements Telin and RTI with each submarine cable route unique proposition where Telin can optimize RTI’s Japan-Guam-Australia (JGA) cable system and RTI can use Telin’s IGG SEA-US West from Guam to Singapore for a special offering into the market. For Telin, this collaboration will give more options to offer alternate route between Singapore and Japan while adding a new route of Japan-Australia in Telin’s submarine cable offering. The agreement is followed by a Master Service Agreement with International Private Line Circuit (IPLC) Schedule where RTI will offer Telin’s IPLC to its partners and customers. For the time being, RTI will offer the service to institutions of research and education in the USA.

The third document, a service order form marks the first service under this Strategic Alliance (as mentioned in previous paragraph) where RTI support a US financial company to connect between their PoPs in Japan and Singapore. The service is expected to be Ready For Service (RFS) on March 1, 2021.

Telin USA CEO, Kharisma expressed his excitement in this collaboration, saying “These agreements will strengthen Telin’s position to accelerate the digital expansion of our partners in Asia. We hope this can offer Telin’s partners more opportunities to connect Asia Pacific and USA while maintaining the dominance in the unique route between Indonesia and USA”.

To add, CEO of RTI, Russ Matulich, said “We have a long history working with Telkom and Telin in infrastructure projects. This partnership shows RTI’s intention to extend that relationship to attack the market by optimizing both strengths of the company”.

Following the ceremony, CEO of RTI showed Telin USA CEO the progress of Hermosa Beach Cable Landing Station enhancement, which includes some mural arts that represent RTI’s submarine cable infrastructures between Hong Kong, Japan, Guam and USA.
