Jakarta, 15 June 2022 – During 2021, in the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, people continued to adapt their behavior and lifestyle to become increasingly digital. Amidst the accelerating demand for bandwidth, as well as . the beginnings of the global economic recovery, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International or Telin recorded excellent performance. Revenue grew 9.00 percent in 2021 to Rp10.49 trillion, while EBITDA grew 17.11 percent to Rp 2.12 trillion and net income grew by 7.13 percent to Rp893.90 billion.
Telin’s achievements were conveyed in the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the Financial Year (FY) 2021 which was themed "Strengthening Digital Ecosystem to Deliver Great Performance and Pursue Business Sustainability". The event was held on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022. In attendance were Telkom Indonesia Director Finance and Risk Management Heri Supriadi, representing Telkom Indonesia as the shareholder of 99.99% shares of Telin;Nizar Hamid, as the shareholder of 0.01% shares of Telin; the Telin Board of Commissioners consisting of President Commissioner Bogi Witjaksono and the Commissioners of Telin, namely Jimmi Adiguna Kembaren, Bambang Margono and Erik Orbandi; the Telin Board of Directors, namely Chief Executive Officer Budi Satria Dharma Purba, Chief Finance and Risk Management Officer Doni Andriansyah, Chief Technology Officer Nanang Hendarno and Chief Commercial Officer Kharisma; Notary Shella Falianti S.H. and Senior Leaders from Telkom and Telin.
In his report, Budi explained that Telin successfully seized opportunities arising from industry disruption, by strategically partnering with digital players. Telin moreover increased service profitability by running the SUSTAIN program (Strengthen-Up Profitability and Productivity, Strive for New Market, Thrive New DigitAl Business, INcredible CX). In terms of operational performance, the majority of Telin's sales and portfolio production recorded growth, especially the Data Service, CDN and Data Center businesses. External revenue contributed 83 percent of total revenue.
Telin carried out various initiatives throughout 2021 to deliver strong performance, including:
- Business development in the form of strengthening the core business, exploration and monetization of new businesses, as well as maximizing revenue from the Enterprise and Digital segments;
- Digital capabilities development through strategic partnerships and by nurturing digital talent;
- Customer experience improvement by carrying out infrastructure development, innovation, digitization and organizational strengthening.
