Telin at Submarine Networks World 2025: Showcasing innovation, AI-driven optimisation, and Indonesia’s unique subsea challenges on the global stage

Telin Showcases Indonesia’s Connectivity Leadership at Submarine Networks World 2025

Singapore, 24-25 September 2025 – PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin) is proud to participate in Submarine Networks World (SNW) 2025, the world’s leading subsea cable conference, held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore. The event gathers global industry leaders, operators, regulators, and technology innovators to discuss the latest advancements in subsea infrastructure and its role in driving the digital economy.

As part of the agenda, Telin is contributing perspectives that reflect both its international expertise and Indonesia’s unique position in the global connectivity landscape.

Mohamad Izani Bin Karim, Group Head Subsea Business Development, led a session on “With records tumbling, what are the new benchmarks for optimized networks?” He addressed how the industry is redefining performance standards amid rising demand for speed, capacity, and resilience. Advancements like SDM, C+L band amplification, and open cable architectures are redefining network design and deployment. However, the The keyreal challenge ahead is to get the cables into the water, given the limited available resources globally, balancing latency, route diversity, and project feasibility amid complex permitting and resource constraintsrequirements - and Telin is committed to addressing these with smarter strategies and faster, more resilient infrastructure designs he noted.

Dion Kristadi Leksono, VP Subsea Project Orchestration, participated in a panel discussion on Utilizing AI for network optimization between long distance connections.” He explored the transformative role of AI in enhancing efficiency and operational reliability. Telin had been on its path implementing AI up to the stage of predictive analytics equipped with at length experience human resources involvement, keeping its submarine cable dependable resulting better operational excellence to enhance our customer satisfaction he shared.

Abdul Rahman Ansyori, Chief Technology Officer, joined a panel on “Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelago - complex considerations in construction.” He highlighted the strategic role of subsea cables in connecting Indonesia’s thousands of islands and the challenges in delivering such infrastructure. To deploy a submarine cable in an archipelagic country like Indonesia, we need to repeat several layers of studies, from physical surveys, landing site topography and environmental assessments, socio-economic and regulatory studies, to ocean data collection and hazard or risk assessments. As long as we have clear data and good visibility, our chances of running projects smoothly are much higher,” he emphasized.

Telin’s active participation at SNW 2025 reflects its continued commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s role in the global subsea cable industry. By sharing insights and engaging in discussions with international stakeholders, Telin demonstrates its leadership in delivering resilient, innovative, and sustainable connectivity solutions that empower the digital economy across Asia-Pacific and beyond.
