Jakarta, 19 August 2020 – PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin) formally transferred its majority share ownership in TS Global Network Sdn Bhd (TSGN) to Telin’s sister company, Telkomsat, on Wednesday, 19th August 2020 at the Vision Room, Telkom Landmark Tower, Jakarta. TSGN is a privately-owned company based in Malaysia with a steadily growing international satellite business.
Telin CEO Sukardi Silalahi and Telkomsat CEO Endi Fitri Herlianto signed the Conditional Share Purchase Agreement (CSPA). on behalf of their respectively companies. The event was witnessed by Telkom’s Board of Directors: President Director - Ririek Adriansyah, Director of Wholesale and International Service - Dian Rachmawan, Director of Strategic Portfolio - Budi Setyawan Wijaya, and Director of Enterprise Business - Edi Witjara.
The acquisition of TSGN in 2017 was managed by Telin until 2018 in which TSGN was co-managed by Telin and Telkomsat based on the decision of both management. The transfer of Telin’s shares places TSGN under Telkomsat’s full control, enabling Telkomsat to manage the company more effectively towards realizing Telkom Group’s vision to become one of the top 3 satellite players in the Asia. This share transfer also marks the conclusion of the consolidation process of Telkom Group’s satellite businesses, which has been ongoing as part of the drive to increase efficiency and drive performance for a digital age.
