COCA OCTOBER 2025: Subsea Connect — Unlocking Telin’s Global Subsea Vision

Jakarta, 5 November 2025 — Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin) successfully held its COCA September 2025 flagship event titled “CTO Talks: Subsea Connect — Telin’s Global Subsea Vision: Unlocking Connectivity, Profitability, and Growth” on Thursday, 30 October 2025. The event took place in a hybrid format from Telkom Landmark Tower Level 31, drawing participation from Teliners across various divisions who were eager to explore Telin’s subsea strategy and future direction.

Bringing a fun and engaging retro-gaming theme under the tagline “Let’s Play!”, the session symbolized Telin’s collaborative spirit and readiness to “play” its part in strengthening global digital connectivity. The event featured a distinguished lineup of Telin leaders, moderated by Chief Technology Officer - Abdul Rahman Ansyori, and joined by Dion Kristadi Leksono (VP Subsea Project Orchestration), Yuwanti Rili Respatyanti (SR Account Manager ENLA Sales), Roger Pardede (VP Governance & Regulatory), Benny Manahan Silalahi (VP Financial Controller), and Luky Rahmawan Kusnaedi (Manager Connectivity Development & Project 2).

At the beginning of the session, Abdul Rahman Ansyori emphasized the crucial role of subsea infrastructure in today’s fast-evolving digital ecosystem. He noted that as data traffic surges globally, subsea cables have become the backbone of international communication, connecting countries, economies, and people. “The race for global connectivity is on, and Telin is right at the center of it,” he remarked, underscoring the company’s commitment to advancing Indonesia’s position in the global digital landscape. Telin emphasises that the Asia-Pacific region, especially Indonesia is well-positioned due to geography and growing demand.

Dion then shared insights on Telin’s ongoing subsea initiatives and strategic projects aimed at enhancing Indonesia’s connectivity capacity. He explained how Telin’s integrated project orchestration approach ensures that every subsea investment delivers not only capacity and speed but also network resilience and sustainable competitiveness. His presentation reflected Telin’s determination to transform Indonesia into a key hub within the Asia-Pacific subsea ecosystem.

On the commercial side, Yuwanti provided perspectives from the market and customer engagement front. She highlighted how customer demands are evolving, with reliability, speed, and route diversity continuing to drive purchasing decisions among enterprise and carrier clients. According to her, Telin’s expanding global network and customer-centric approach provides the company with a unique advantage in meeting these expectations while capturing new market opportunities.

From a financial standpoint, Benny outlined the importance of strategic and disciplined financial management in supporting Telin’s subsea business growth. He discussed how subsea infrastructure investments, while capital-intensive, are fundamental to Telin’s long-term vision. By maintaining a balance between profitability and sustainability, Telin ensures that each project contributes meaningfully to the company’s broader financial and operational goals. To sustain profitability, Telin must treat each subsea project as a long-term digital infrastructure asset, not just a connectivity line. Success depends on front-loaded financial clarity, diversified revenue streams, disciplined cost control, and tighter internal coordination across planning and investment functions.

In terms of policy and governance, Roger elaborated on the necessity of close collaboration with regulatory bodies, government stakeholders, and industry partners to align Telin’s subsea operations with national digital priorities. He highlighted that as Indonesia’s international digital gateway, Telin has a vital responsibility in maintaining secure, compliant, and resilient infrastructure to support the nation’s digital transformation agenda.

Adding a technology dimension, Luky explained the latest developments in connectivity design, project execution, and technological innovation. His session demonstrated how Telin continuously improves its subsea capabilities — from planning to implementation — to ensure high-quality, low-latency connections that enable seamless global communication.

Throughout the event, participants were encouraged to reflect on Telin’s collective role in realizing its subsea vision. The discussion emphasized that Telin’s strength lies in its collaborative culture — uniting expertise across technology, finance, governance, and customer engagement. This synergy represents the essence of One Telin spirit, where every function plays a critical role in advancing global connectivity.

In closing, CTO Abdul Rahman Ansyori delivered a powerful message of unity and innovation, reminding all Teliners that the subsea journey is more than just about cables beneath the ocean. To realize positive expectations, communication is needed, not only communication but it needs to be transparent, not only transparent but also timely. “So, Subsea is not just about infrastructure — it’s about connecting opportunities, economies, and people. Every role contributes to the bigger picture,” he stated.

Through CTO Talks: Subsea Connect, Telin reaffirmed its commitment to excellence, collaboration, and innovation. The session not only deepened Teliners’ understanding of the company’s subsea strategy but also strengthened the collective spirit to continue driving Telin’s mission of building a connected world — one cable at a time.
