Leonardus found a shift in transformation towards digital business, from a company's strength-based strategy (comparative and competitive advantage) to a cooperative advantage-based strategy or commonly known as a co-creation strategy. In the digital age, ICT companies cannot rely solely on the strengths of the companies themselves. ICT companies must collaborate to optimize opportunities, profits, and reduce risk by integrating co-creation strategies and developing innovations in the business model. His dissertation also states that digital transformation phase of the ICT industry in Indonesia must rely on the unique core competencies of each company before being developed towards platform-based business and services. This research provides input to regulators to be able to increase the role of regulation in creating digital ecosystems in Indonesia. The result of his dissertation has some strategic implications for such companies to achieve sustainable growth in the Digital era which finds it is interesting for regulators to utilize his findings.

Leonardus’s research is supported by a respectable source for his dissertation, the former Executive Director of the Wonderful Indonesia Co-Branding at Ministry of Tourism the Republic of Indonesia, Priyantono Rudito, M.Bus., Ph.D. Priyantono states that the emergence of disparities in the digital age will encourage the company to transform by changing the business logic and business model. Therefore, transformation is something normal for all companies. In these conditions, the role of leaders through digital leadership capabilities (digital leadership) becomes very "critical", he then added.
