Bali, 20 December 2016 – Telin and PNG DataCo signed a cooperation agreement between Jayapura Landing Party Agreement (LPA) and Letter of Intent (LOI) of IRU Jayapura - USA. The signing of the cooperation was held at Hotel Padma Legian, Bali by Telin Marketing and Sales Director, Budi Satria Dharma Purba and Managing Director of PNG DataCo, Paul Komboi, on Tuesday (20/12/2016).
In the cooperation agreement Telin provides PNG DataCo cable landing facility in Jayapura as well as Letter of Intent lease capacity of 100G Jayapura - Los Angeles (USA) through submarine cable owned by Telkom Group. In addition, Telin also provides a landing station facility in Jayapura for submarine cable systems owned by PNG DataCo connecting Vanimo (Papua New Guinea) and Jayapura (Indonesia). The cooperation between Telin and PNG DataCo is for twenty years.
“We are pleased to provide connectivity solutions through strategic collaboration with PNG DataCo as Papua New Guinea's wholesale domestic and international telecommunication company. This will not only provide Telin's broader global network coverage, but also provide an opportunity for Telin and PNG DataCo to grow business together in the future, "said Budi.
"I am confident that the signing of this cooperation not only enhances the good relationship between Telin and PNG DataCo but more than that is the enhancement of bilateral relations between Indonesia and PNG, especially in improving the economic field, providing infrastructure and information technology", said Budi. According to Budi, the signing made between Telin and PNG DataCo is a good start for both Companies to grow together.
Paul Komboi on that occasion expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that has been done. The signing of this LPA opens the opportunity of PNG DataCo submarine cable to land in Jayapura via Telin as well as its international network infrastructure, including to open up greater opportunities in cooperation and growing in international business.

PNG DataCo is a telecommunication company owned by the Papua New Guinea government to build and operate a national broadband transmission network (NTN) in order to support social and economic development in Papua New Guinea. Dataco PNG also runs the international wholesale telecommunication business through the provision of global connectivity by optimizing their submarine cable system.
