London, 20 October 2022 - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) who focuses on international telecommunication business, and TIME dotCom Berhad (Time), a telecommunications provider specialising in domestic and international connectivity, data centre, cloud and managed services solutions, have announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on expanding network coverage and marketing of Time's A-GRID fibre network.
The signing ceremony was held at the Intercontinental Hotel, The O2, London. Telin was represented by its Senior Vice President of Product, Azmal Yahya (Azmal) witnessed by Telin Chief Commercial Officer, Kharisma, and Time was represented by its Executive Vice President of Wholesale, Ganesh Sivasamboo. The strategic partnership between Telin and Time is expected to benefit both parties, as the Time A-GRID network will be made available to Telin’s customers, while Telin will help extend A-GRID into Indonesia and beyond.
Supported by Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) transmission and Ethernet protocols, Time’s A-GRID scalable network design delivers user-optimised network performance for business flexibility and network reliability. As the first service provider in Southeast Asia with a triple certified MEF 3.0 network, namely MEF 3.0 offer Ethernet, MEF 3.0 LSO Sonata and MEF 3.0 SD-WAN, Time’s industry-leading global standards ensure better network management, more secure connectivity to the cloud, faster speed and deployment efficiency.
This partnership is expected to unlock numerous commercial opportunities for businesses and services in the region as the A-GRID will help facilitate cross-border opportunities, supply chain activities, markets and connectivity between different Southeast Asian nations, in accordance with the trend towards greater regional economic and digital integration as set forth in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) 2025 blueprint.
