Through this training, the surrounding community is expected to be able to make Kampung Tua Nongsa as a Tourism Village area that can provide benefits again and attract tourists both domestic and international to visit this tourism village.

Kampung Tua Nongsa has natural tourism potential with a diversity of flora and fauna, including as a location for mangrove conservation, education, and beach tourism which focuses on special interest tour packages for nature tourism, cultural tourism (Culture tourism and Ecotourism), and various other tours. This Village Tourism Village carries the principle of "Friendly Tourism" based on Community Based Tourism by involving the empowerment of the surrounding community in its management. The tourism services of Kampung Tua Nongsa Tourism Village are focused on fulfilling tourists' deepest interests in the beauty of natural landscapes with all interesting and unique aesthetic phenomena, socio-cultural activities of the community which are reflected in the system of customs, cultural patterns, and local wisdom as well as tourists' interest in village/rural community life on the coast of Nongsa sea in Batam city.

In the area, various facilities have been built to support tourism, such as art and cultural stages, Mangrove Tracking, seafood restaurants, selfie areas, souvenir shops, tool rental shops, and equipped with art performance stages and wifi areas. Not only tourist support facilities, this tourist village is also equipped with facilities to support tourist comfort, such as public bathrooms and prayer rooms.

Due to the various potentials that exist, Telin together with UIB created an ongoing program to improve the quality of cleanliness of tourist comfort support facilities, one of which is by providing Hygiene and Sanitation training for Nongsa Tourism Village Homestay managers.

"This activity is a series of Christmas and New Year 2023 activities that are routinely carried out by Telin every two periods in one year, namely at Christmas and New Year and Ramadan Eid al-Fitr in each of our Network Area offices in Indonesia and our global offices outside Indonesia. Through the ESG pillar #TelinforCommunity, we hope to continue to strengthen our commitment to improve the quality of life of our stakeholders, in this case coastal communities, especially women, through sustainable training so that they can provide more skills to help provide additional income to their families," said Budi Satria Dharma Purba, CEO of Telin.

Ecotourism here also has a beautiful white sand beach destination, its existence on the coast of the Nongsa area, Batam makes this Ecotourism has advantages in the view of the scenery that faces directly to neighboring countries namely Singapore and Malaysia. This ecotourism carries a friendly tourist attraction with the preservation of its mangrove forest which is actualized in a special interest tour package that is guided by the values of natural, environmental, social, community and educational benefits.

This is considered very important for the sustainability of the surrounding biodiversity because it is the basis for the formation of the marine ecosystem food chain, and can prevent disasters and coastal abrasion.
