Telin Provides Reliefs During COVID-19 Hit Amid the Work From Home Mode

In April 2020, Telin activated its social program, "Telin Berbagi," to assist people and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program involved distributing basic supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to medical workers and volunteers in hospitals in the Greater Jakarta and Banten areas. Telin collaborated with Edelweiss Bhakti Utama to provide food to homeless individuals and worked with the Cita Insani Negeri Foundation to distribute basic necessities and PPE to various hospitals and organizations. The program aimed to ease the burden on those affected by the pandemic and show solidarity during these challenging times.

Telin Provides Reliefs During COVID-19 Hit Amid the Work From Home Mode

Jakarta, April 2020 – This is a privilege for a company to be able to weigh down some burden in its surroundings amid the recent situation. Telin activated its social program, Telin Berbagi in midst April 2020 to ease people and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in a shape of distributing basic supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical workers and volunteers in hospitals located in the Greater Jakarta and Banten areas. The distribution was carried out from April 24th until May 22nd, 2020.

Telin teamed up with Edelweiss Bhakti Utama, the employees’ cooperative to provide food to homeless individuals. A total of 333 boxes of basic supplies are delivered to range of locations include the Board of Directors’ home neighbourhood. 

For PPE distribution, Telin collaborated with Cita Insani Negeri Foundation (Canari Foundation), a non-profit organization with wide range of portfolio to provide assistance for community in needs in Greater Jakarta and Banten areas. Canari Foundation appointed local volunteers in the area to spearhead local distribution of basic necessities and PPE to medical workers and their support systems in different hospitals such as Fatmawati Hospital, Kebayoran Baru Hospital, Tria Dipa Hospital, Zahirah Hospital, Pasar Minggu Hospital, Jagakarsa Hospital, Harapan Bunda Pasar Rebo Hospital, Hermina Depok Hospital, Bakti Yudha Depok Hospital, Prikasih Pondok Labu Hospital, and Ali Sibroh Malisi Hospital.

The people receiving the basic necessities includes orphans, disabled people, and financially hurt school institutions who teach students from underprivilege or broken family, namely the Pesantren Miftahul Jannah, Pesantren Nurul Abshor Bani Ishaq, Pesantren Nur El Ibtihaj, Pesantren Daarul Falah, and Pesantren Daarul Hidayah.

Telin Headquarter has experienced more than 2 month period of working from home (WFH) following government restriction order to cutback the virus transmission in Indonesia. Although the operational is overall workable, management is looking forward for the situation returning to normal. At the time being the best way to do by a company is to give back some amount of goodness in order to ease up the burden and stress among others.

Since the virus has spread around the country, everyone has step together to help each other. “Let's hope that this pandemic ends soon and people's live can return to normal”, said Sukardi to sum up the initiative.
