Telin’s Subsidiaries, May 2020 – As the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to escalate, Telin and its subsidiaries have joined forces to help mitigate the effects of COVID-19 in the surrounding communities. On top of numerous corporate efforts to provide digital communication subsidies and ensure quality of service to support work-from-home efforts, from May 5 to May 19, Telin’s offices in Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Timor Leste launched a number of social initiatives to mark the month of Ramadhan in 1441 Hijri.
In Hong Kong, Telin supported the renovation of the Al-Falah Mosque, through Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong. The donation was handed over by VP Network & IT Solution Telin Hong Kong Addy Kurnia to Yolvis Sahardi, a representative of the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong, at the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong on May 5, 2020.
In Malaysia, on May 9, 2020 Telin met with Indonesian workers at the Almina Sime Darby construction site, Sungai Buloh, to distribute basic supplies. Telin also held an event for local Indonesian workers at the WISMA UOA building, which was hosted by the Head of Finance and General Affair Telin Malaysia, Roszemi Bin Kamarudin, on Thursday, May 14, 2020. This event was a rare opportunity to meet and connect during Ramadan, even as the Movement Control Order (MCO) continues.
On the opposite side of the world, Telin USA, together with Indonesian Diaspora Network - South California (IDN SoCal), distributed basic supplies to families in the Indonesian community who are affected by COVID-19 in Los Angeles.
In Timor Leste, Telin conducted four goodwill initiatives comprising delivery of basic charity supplies to Annur Mosque, providing personal protective equipment (PPE) to Polícia Nacional de Timor-Leste, disinfecting the surrounding area for the benefit of the local community, and making a donation to Munawarah Foundation.
Meanwhile in Taiwan, Telin supported At-Taqwa Mosque on Tuesday, 19th May 2020 and the Indonesian Diaspora Network (IDN). Donations for Indonesian Workers were delivered to Hanas Subakti as the person in charge of the Taiwan IDN on Monday, 20th April, 2020 at the Telin Office in Taiwan. Telin Taiwan CEO - Kurnia Mareza Bachril representing the company to distribute the donation to both parties.
Whereas in Myanmar, Country Manager Yudie Irawan distributed 2,500 masks to customers consisting of 1,000 masks to JAPFA, 500 masks to CJ Feedmill, 500 masks to the Indonesian Embassy in Myanmar, 250 to employees of Myanmar Telin and 250 for other building occupants in the Telin building.
