Jakarta, 5 October 2021 – Employee recognition boosts workplace engagement and ultimately, productivity. When employees don’t feel recognized or valued at work, they’ll often leave their job or just do the bare minimum . By contrast, employee recognition and engagement can boost employee happiness. Thus, recognition is a necessity for every successful company because productivity, motivation, dedication, and retention all depend on it.
The Board of Directors (BoD) of Telin comprising CEO Budi Satria Dharma Purba (Busat), CTO Nanang Hendarno, CFBPRMO Doni Andriansyah and CCO Kharisma are focused on ensuring that Teliners’ happiness and well-being as the company’s top priority. As part of their efforts to build a healthy and positive relationship with Teliners, on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, the BoD initiated a surprise event for Teliners who came into work at the office. Busat, Nanang, and Doni walked 17th Floor of the Telkom Landmark Tower dressed as chefs to serve lunch for Teliners.
Starting from Telin’s office on the 17th floor of Telkom Landmark Tower, the three of them pushed trolleys with food and drinks and distributed them to Teliners from the FBPRM Directorate, Commercial Directorate, Strategic Planning and Investment Unit, and Corporate Strategy Unit. To enliven the atmosphere, Sahat Hasudungan from Procurement and General Services Unit in the manner of an airplane flight attendant asked Teliners to sit down and enjoy the dishes being served. Afterwards, Busat, Nanang, and Doni went on to serve lunch on Floor 16th to Teliners from the Technology Directorate, Compliance and Governance Group Unit, and the Internal Audit Unit.
Teliners couldn’t hide their shock upon seeing the BoD serving lunch. “I got goosebumps because the surprise from the BoD to serve Teliners with love was so cool! It was the best example of an excellent customer experience. Top!” said Dade Early from the Carrier Enterprise Sales Unit. To add, Johannes Ekalaya Turnip from Internal Audit Unit commented, “It’s just one year since I joined Telin and I received so many surprises from the management. I feel like I should have joined this company 5 or 10 years ago. Good Job!”
The event itself sent a meaningful message to Teliners that the BoD is always there to support Teliners from assistants and officers to senior management. In addition, this activity reflected the BoD's concern for Teliners’ health and safety by consuming healthy and nutritious food, because they are BoD's top priority.
On behalf of the BoD, Busat delivered his remarks. “Today we served lunch to all Teliners in the office. This shows our culture, that the Board of Directors and the Management are supporting all the employees to give the best for our company, Telin.”
To the Teliners who happened to be working from home and didn't experience the surprise, please do not worry because there will be more surprises in the near future. Big appreciation for Bang Busat, Pak Nanang, Pak Doni, and Pak Kharisma!
